Trophies
These are our club trophies that will be awarded to our club members throughout the year. All are designed to be awarded in recognition of achievements gained while shooting within our club. If won, they are taken home by the club member to allow them to display their award proudly for the duration specified, or until it is won again by another member when it will be handed over at the next club meeting. All our trophies will be gathered together at our AGM once a year so everyone in attendance can see them directly.
Golden Award Trophies
We have 4 trophies awarded for essentially the same thing but separated into bow types. During our Outdoor Season, the first club member who manages to shoot all 6 arrows in the gold scoring section of a full sizes target face (3 arrows for Longbow/Horsebow) over a set distance (starting at 20yds), they will be awarded the relevant trophy shown below. The required distance will then be increased by 10yds. At a maximum of 100yds the required distance will be reset back to 20yds and started again.
We have the Golden Feather Trophy for longbows and horsebows, the Golden Tab Trophy for recurve bows (sighted), the Golden String for barebow recurve and flatbows, and the Golden Release Trophy for compound bows. We begin at 20 yards and see what distance each trophy gets set too during the season.
Our only rule is that the same trophy can’t be won twice in a row by the same person. This will allow others a chance to win and take the relevant trophy home.

Other Club Trophies
The following trophies are available to be won by all our club members over the year for various reasons. Whether for skill or effort all of the trophies are to be won and proudly displayed by our members, some even have the winners names engraved on them upon winning.
Awarded to any of our members by our Club Chairman 2 or 3 times a year. Issued totally at the Chairman’s choice for recognition of effort above and beyond expectations within the club. This very special trophy is taken home for proud display until it is awarded again. Below is a list of the previous winners.

If one of our club members is unlucky enough (or skilled enough if you look at it that way) to score a “Robin Hood” (landing your arrow directly on top another and damaging it), we will award them with our coveted Robin Hood Commemorative Dagger trophy. We hope it goes a little way to lesson the thought of having to replace one or both arrows! The trophy is passed on once another member does the same.

Every now and then one of our club members will perform an “Outstanding Shot”. This could be taking out the X at 60m, hitting the ace on a playing card at one of our fun shoots, or landing an arrow in the target stand leg after all of the others where on the boss. Anything we class as a remarkable, amazing, skilled, quirky, or just a lucky shot. The winner holds the trophy until it is awarded again when another member shoots an outstanding shot.

Twice a year during our summer season we hold a clout competition for our archers who shoot barebow recurve, flatbow, longbow or horsebow. Once during the start of the season, and then again towards the end. Set at 120yds for the adults and 90yds for our juniors this trophy will be issued to the adult archer who lands their arrow the closest to the flag (the junior with the closest arrow to their flag receives a gift prize). This very special trophy is taken home for proud display until it is awarded again. Below is a list of the previous winners.

The Wyke Archers Silver Arrow competition is held every year on the last shoot before Christmas for our club members. Three arrows each shot from a barebow Recurve, Horsebow, Flatbow or Longbow at a 122cm target face set at 25 meters. The closest arrow to the centre X for each archer is measured and the distance recorded. Once all archers have shot, the person with the closest distance from the X is awarded the Silver Arrow Shield to keep for the following year. Their name will also be engraved on the trophy for all future winners to see.
